They were taken by photography student Ed Smith during a
training session with Cornwall Search and Rescue Team and show
Joe's banner, suspended from the team stretcher, approx 150 feet above the
sea near Cligga
Pat Moret, Deputy Team Leader, said "We
wanted to do something special to mark the coming anniversary of Joe's death
and as a thank you to Hendra Holidays for supporting the team in the past. This
was one of the best locations we could find and takes some beating."
The banner was taken to Mont Blanc at 2850m above sea level
(peak between Val Thorens and Meribel Mottaret ski valleys) and was displayed
up in the mountain slopes as well Jon taking the banner down a slope which
meant skiing without his poles
