Paddle for Joe...

The original Paddle for Life started after lifeguards from Fistral Beach held a
Joe Way Memorial Paddle in 2008 which raised £850 for charity. This year the
Newquay Paddle was the first of four in the country and was a tremendous
success. Over 300 spectators attended to cheer on the 90 paddlers who were
raising money for 17 different charities.

milestone this weekend as they joined together at the site for the new
children’s hospice near St Austell.

Cornwall and Plymouth, has come a long way in just two years, with a tremendous
response from local people since its launch in September 2007. Now at the half
way point, many of these supporters came together on Saturday to mark all that
has been achieved so far and to look ahead to the next steps in the exciting
journey.
On Saturday 26th September, supporters from around Cornwall, Plymouth, and other

ceremony at the beautiful Porthpean site where Little Harbour, the new
