Castle Rooms Hair Boutique and Skinners Brewery for their kind donations of
raffle prizes”.
Val added “Lastly I would like to thank my wonderful partner Jeff who did all
the running around and heavy lifting and my Daughter Vicky for her help with the

Friends of Joe Helps Local Boy...

been cared for by a local nurse and has received help from the Towan Blystra
Lions Club with equipment.

in the last 13 months.
The Ways knew of the young boy as he was in the hospital which Joe spent most of
his last 18 months in and out of the HDU department.
Matt Way said “One of the nurses who has cared for this little boy and our Joe
called Louise has given up her full time job as a nurse at 28 and has been
caring for this special little boy to become his full time carer and more
importantly his mother figure”.
“Louise is a really inspiration and has fought his corner on so many occasions to
ensure he will always be given the best chances in life”.
Claire added “We noticed that the wheel chair he has does not have a table and we
know how much of a difference it makes for the child to have a use of a table
with this type of chair”.
Louise said “We will be able to use the table for all sorts of sensory toys and
games which will hopefully keep him amused as he spends such a lot of time in
his chair during appointments and on long train journeys for out of county
hospital appointments”.
The table costs £240 and Brock from the Lions said “We are always happy to help”.
